Have been a couple times before I posted this. Bland excuse for Mexican food. Service is ok, chips and salsa can be duplicated by a bag of chips with a jar of Pace. They use packaged tortillas, and I've not seen a hint of anything authentic.

I have such mixed feelings. I have been here a bunch of times with much success...but I think they changes management or cooks or something. The last few times I have been there I was nothing but disappointed. The quality of both the food and the service has drastically gone down hill. I am only still giving it 3 stars because of the prior good experiences I had and the huge portions.

Since moving here in April we have tried lots of restaurants in PC...Can I just say this is one of our favorite place to eat! Have tried several different menu items and food is always great! Hot, fresh, excellent portion sizes for the price, which is very reasonable! Service is always fast and friendly..

Been here twice before. Much better food/service last time. This time it was a dud. Steak burrito/quesadilla was salty. Margarita tasted like grapefruit juice. Service was unfriendly, like we were bothering him.

The best bartender there, Roberto is going to outback. One of the best bartenders in PC!

Not good at all. Dry chicken and boring sauces. Chips and salsa are good. So is the guacamole. Became sick after eating here.

The food was just ok, I have had better fajitas! The service was terrible the host and waiter was not friendly at all. When he have me my drink he spilled some in the table and just walked away.

I won't complain about their food, it's good food, some of the better Mexican/TexMex in PC, however, NEVER go with a large (8 or more) group. They completely lack the infrastructure to handle seating that many people together. Unless you enjoy waiting for an unnecessary amount of time to be seated go elsewhere. I might actually recommend El Jalisco a couple miles down 23rd St or Old Mexico a couple miles down 15th St where they can accommodate large groups easily....

Server was great. Loved the fact that they improvised and made my meal vegan! Food was Ok, not bad and not fantastic. However, I will come back next time I'm in town.

Went here for dinner and it was certainly better than I can get at home, but the best I've had in my travels. The staff was friendly enough, but not very present. After my food arrived I didn't see my waiter again until I was finished and waiting. The food was tasty, but nothing super special. Overall a decent enough dinner and free WiFi so I was able to catch up on work while I ate.

Pretty tasty food. Great drinks. Hardy helpings. I had the Guadalajara. Nothing special. But the cheese on it was awesome. The free Jell-O shot on the way out was pretty awesome too.

Im a huge Peppers fan! Everything on the menu is awesome and the margaritas are perfect! I would have gave 5 stars but somedays the service is great and somedays it seems as if they hate there jobs (or maybe they just hate me) but either way its very hit or miss service. Free chips and salsa but order the bean dip it's awesome plus you get a bonus of white caso cheese on top, well worth it! Buy one get one free margaritas during happy hour in 3 differant sizes (btw the large is 64oz) NICE!!!

Great food and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place to try if you like Mexican food

Pluses: Big portions, affordable prices, decently large menu, free chips and salsa Minuses: ingredients are middling quality, service is not amazing, no aguas frescas

They offer vegetarian alternatives and always friendly service. Hard to park at peak times and it gets very loud. Birthday singing occurs most nights and two for one drinks...affordable. Good chimichangas. Always enjoyable.

Horrible service! So me and some friends from the Air Force Base (Tyndall) went here to grab some food after doing some volunteer work. We showed up and the Hostess was rude. We are a mixed group because in the Worlds greatest Air force we do not discriminate. It was one Hispanic guy , one White guy , a black guy , and a mixed girl. The waiter was ignoring the black gentleman all night. When we paid and were walking out the hostess and waiter that were standing there made a rude comment as we left. This place sucks i will never spend my money there again and i hope all military get barred from spending there money there and they don't allow any government credit cards at this place from now on!!

Love Peppers! When we vacation in this area, we always make a point to go to this restaurant - it is awesome! Last time we went, we had plenty of delicious food and took the left overs home for dinner that night. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that we wanted to enjoy their banana chimichanga for dessert that they had advertised but they ran out. All in all, love it and will definitely be back.

Best restaurant in Panama City/Beach area! Great tasting food, big portions, great prices, friendly well dressed servers, clean restaurant that's tastefully decorated & good bar drinks! Chips and salsa are fantastic. My favorite menu item= California burrito & mango margarita.

Great Salsa! I love the Chicken Chimichanga lunch special. So great. My husband and I share the single serving of fajitas and have leftovers. Fast service, friendly.

This restaurant was very very busy on Friday night. My main issue with this restaurant is the lack of parking. We had to wait a few minutes for someone to leave so we could have a place to park. The quasi dip was good and we enjoy it with jalapenos that we mix in. The chips and salsa was also replenished. I ordered the fish tacos and they were okay. The fish was a little greasy. The fish was grilled but still very greasy. Our server was very good and the food was delivered quickly. The food was okay but not the best that I have had. I would recommend this place to people that want a quick meal. Reasonable priced and they do have happy hour specials.

Very good Mexican food considering the area. Awesome skinny margarita.

  • Anna L.

You are definitely paying for the atmosphere here. The food is so-so, very bland and the portions are not that large. Friendly waitstaff and quick service but Old Mexico is WAY better.

  • Brittany K.

2 for 1 margaritas all day everyday? Yes please. Good food and good service too. We stopped in on a Friday evening when we were in the area running errands. They were on a wait so we sat at the bar, the bartender was super sweet an full of advice on where we should go in the pcb area (we recently moved here). I had the fajita nachos and they were yummy and HUGE. Could easily be split between 2. Peppers definitely takes it as our new local Mexican joint.

Great chips and salsa...the environment was fun and the service is top notch. This was first time as a group of 13 people and they handled us with no problems. Found a sombrero from a birthday party next table over and got pics with everyone and the staff all sang along with us. My food was hot and the plate was over stuffed. They have $4.99 32oz Dox XX's on draft...best new favorite draft beer now. Definitely a recommend place to visit!!

Good food at a great price. Waiter was friendly but didn't come to the table enough to check on us. All things considered my food was hot and delicious. I will eat here again.

Good, traditional Mexican food. Large portions with decent prices. Server was friendly and recommended dishes. Would eat here again

Food was very good and the service was fast. Had a bit of trouble understanding the waiter but we worked it out. lol. The only downside was a very loud, obnoxious drunk at the bar, but nobody asked him to leave and there were lots of staff members around! Couldn't quite figure that out! He would have been gone if that were our restaurant. It really ruined the atmosphere for us.

  • Ron R.

Very poor service, food was only so-so. To many other tex-mex rest.'s in Panama City that have decent food and you are not treated by the servers like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. Gave the place more than one chance and it only got worse.

  • Dustin B.

Chimichunga with Carne asada are the joint! Parking during normal meal times is pretty lousy, but that's only because the place is so popular.

    (4)
  • John B.

The restaurant was quite busy, but the service was not lacking as other restaurants tend to be. Drinks & chips were served promptly. The food was pretty good. Peppers is as close to great mexican food as I can find outside California & Texas (and Mexico, of course). The chimichanga wasn't as big as I expected, but it was flavorful and enjoyable. All in all, the food was really good, the service was spectacular, and the restaurant is worth the difficulty with parking.

This is NOT authentic Mexican food. This is rather bland, highly Americanized Tex-Mex.. Tex-Mex in Texas is much more flavorful and spicy than this.. I love Mexican food in Mexico and I also like very much some Tex-Mex I have tried in Texas (often better in small towns)... But this is like neither.. This food has been adapted to local tastes , and the level of adaptation (food is pretty bland, things like use of standard grocery store mozzarella cheese in the chile relleno) was too much for me.. I ordered the "Fajita Peppers" which comes with "steak, shrimp, chicken, and chorizo (Mexican sausage)"... I don't know what they were calling "chorizo", but it is nothing like what one buys in the grocery store in Mexico.. not spicy at all and it was not even clear to me if it was even a pork product.. The steak used was nothing special.. In general not enough seasonings were used, in fact very little seasoning.. The place seems to be fairly popular, and this may because this is what many Americans have learned to be "Mexican food" and thus what they are comfortable with you. There is nothing wrong with that of course if that is what some people want. The restaurant is quite clean and comfortable, the decor is fairly nice, and I thought service was good. The owner is from the state of Jalisco, Mexico - land of tequila - and not surprisingly they have a fairly good selection of tequilas available. I tried the "Blue Azul Margarita" (that is the "blue blue margarita" for those who studied German instead of Spanish in high school), which at $10 for a medium size seemed to be the top shelf offering, it was reasonably good. Most of the staff are from Mexico. I had a blunt but friendly conversation with my waiter about the food in Spanish so as to limit what other customers would hear, he explained that the food had been adapted to meet what the owner felt the locals are used to or are looking for.. Well, some of us "locals" want something much spicier, so please take note (-:

The only real Carne Asada in PC, the staff are almost always friendly. Parking is usually pretty full at night. Do not expect Tex-Mex, go some where else for that. Best Mexican Food In town. Love the mariachi This comes from someone that has spent a lot of time in Mexico and LA.

It's a good restaurant to eat out at. However it is not a must go. Pepper's is just like any other Mexican restaurant that you can find anywhere. But if that is all that you are looking for then it is a great place to go to. Reverie is god and the food comes fast. Good place.

To start parking is a pain but once you are parked let the good times roll. I found getting there around 5:30-6 was best. People are usually leaving and your wait time isn't too long. Once seated depending on how many tables your server has sometimes it take a minute to get drinks but don't wait to long to order or else it'll be a little longer till he or she comes back. It's not their fault the place is usually packed. My experience was a Friday 5:30 so i was in-between then after work crowed and the dinner crowed. The drinks were amazing 2 for 1 you can never go wrong, I recommend the 14.99 size if you are looking for a small buzz and are not driving. This place has great food too but if you want to save some money share because the portion sizes are huge; plus the chips and salsa are good too so you will eat a lot of those. Enjoy the place is great!

It's Pepper's. Food it great. Service is also great. Staff is very friendly and prices are very reasonable. We always come back here.

Parking is horrible but that's not the restaurant's fault. Food was excellent (I myself ordered the arroz con camarones) well cooked and served hot. The waiters carry all the dishes on their arm and wear a very large oven mitt, it's a very cool thing to watch and adds a level of authenticity to the eating experience. However the service was rather slow & their weren't lots of tables otherwise it would be excusable. Overall awesome food & atmosphere just wish it was a little quicker.

Not sure about the food...it looked great from a distance. I'll never know because I sat and waited and waited and waited and was never offered so much as a glass of tap water. Oh, wait! I got a basket of chips and some salsa thrown in front of me. I was entertained watching other customers being seated around me, brought drinks, and then their food. And I waited some more, while watching the wait staff hang around the end of the bar in a half-full restaurant. I finally paid for the chips (so I couldn't be accused of skipping out on the bill) and left. The service at Peppers is miserable. Find somewhere else to get Mexican food when you visit Panama City.

Peppers has awesome food. They are best for takeout, because the place is so loud you can't hear yourself think muchless your conversation, and the service is unbelievably rude, condescending, and unappreciative of your patronage.

    (3)
  • Manuel G.

The food is good but not amazing. It's really cheap so it's a really good quality-price ratio, and the servings are huge. Will come back.

    (4)
  • Randall M.

The food is really good and the portions are generous. If you eat at this place bring an appetite. The only real issue with this place is how loud it is in this place. I notice it's really hard to have a conversation because it really is that loud.

I have been here a couple times during business trips and have always been pleased. Very good food and great service. Their mango margaritas are excellent.

  • Pedro N.

Terrible watery food. They advertise the beer more than food so run away! When I was given cold rice I asked for them to get me a new fresh plate, I was given back the same plate with a bite taken out. Restaurant 101 don't microwave food, plus how sick and unsanitary. The plate I ate off was given back after put in a microwave. Rude staff horrible taste. Bad, insult to Mexican cuisine.

My wife and I decided to try peppers on a rare occasion that we had a baby sitter. We had had the peppers in port st. Joe several times and the food and service are always great. However this was not the case at our peppers. Chips and salsa were ok and our margaritas were average. We ordered the peppers fajitas for two, something we have acquired a taste for since eating at the one in port st. Joe so often. The food was hot but very bland. No flavor in any of the meat or vegetables. The shrimp was horribly overcooked. To top the experience off our waiter took our order and was never to be found again until check time. No refills. No smiles. No how is everything. I will continue to enjoy the peppers in port st. Joe but I wont be returning to this establishment.

The food here is really not that good, its not bad either but not anywhere I'd go again. They don't really use much seasoning so its pretty bland. The service was slow but the food came quick and its really cheap to eat here. The bar was also really quick and really good! They brought my drinks before they brought my water which I was kinda confused about....

    (2)
  • Madeline C.

The food is horrible here. Absolute worst Mexican food I've ever eaten, and I love Mexican food. The service is slow and the wait staff is nice enough but they are unresponsive.

Food was good and service was great. It was very loud. There was a party and they were screaming and then popped something really loud. About gave us a heart attack.

Free tequila shot! For my bday :) they were too busy to sing but no worries the hat was awesome ! No complaints on anything. Amazing michelada made w modelo of course!!! Also great service.

Absolutely delicious!! I always get the Chimichanga Lovers when I go. It's enough to feed two people!

  • Jeremy S.

Basically, the food sucked. I had the California burrito and the wife had a taco, enchilada and a tamale. Her tamale was a little stiff and the cheese they used wasnt quality. We joked that maybe it was a block of government cheese that they use but that's what it tasted like. We won't be going back there again. Oh, the waiter was dead too.

  • Deniece M.

Drinks are strong. Food is great. Service is always wonderful Also inexpensive. What more can you ask for? This is my go to place to get wasted. Seriously, I have to be carried out every time. Get the two for one Margaritas. You won't be disappointed!

  • Andrew W.

Okay, Peppers, you've earned a one-star upgrade from my previous review. The last words from my previous review of Peppers were "don't go there expecting to be wowed" - never in my life have I been so wrong! Yelpers, I have two words for you: Wet Burrito. The name may not sound too appealing, but let me assure you, such preconceptions can be deceiving. This monster of a burrito (I'd estimate to be well in excess of three pounds) is indeed Mexican food paradise. Accompanied with the two-for-one margaritas that Peppers is known for (which are inexpensive and very good), you can't go wrong. I doubt very much that you will be able to find a better restaurant deal in town. Peppers, please accept my apologies for ever doubting you!

  • Ken H.

Great consistency in food and service. Been to others in town. This place always comes through If your having a problem parking and with noise its because of this place must be worth the wait and bother. It is....
